A casual smile and pleasant hello,
You could tell it was perfunctory though.
Well maybe some couldn’t, but I could see,
As I mentally began an Alphabet of you from me.
27 letters all to capture the essence,
The most handsomely created of all Gods presents.
Visually intoxicating, mentally stimulating,
A name, Life, in Hebrew no less.
I knew taking those classes was my destiny.
Or perhaps a dream of what could be.
A bit taller than me
Dressed, oh so, Abercrombie chic!
Didn’t have to even try,
Conversing was part of her natural style.
Mixed a drink, read a book, or rather tried;
All I could see was you before my eyes
Had to wait though, bide my time.
Even sat in your class just to see you smile.
I’m long gone now.
I have a child.
You’re the first one I call when I need a smile
We clown, and joke and yeah, I got your two.
Sometimes I’ll even concede to the fact that,
Yeah you win, but I’ll only say it to you!
Are you sure your happy?
I can make you smile
With a crazy intellectual profile.
You are amazing, but just one thing
Can you intellectualize this?
WHY NOT ME?
I’d fight the Universe and win if that’s what it took
Just for once you to see me the way I see you.
