_____You ease up on her and put an arm around her waist. Before you can nuzzle her neck, Donna slaps you hand away. "Oh, do you think I'm that easy? I don't know about your other women, but I'm not going to lay down and throw my legs open because you bought me a cheap ass bear." She moves over to the bar and pours both of you a glass of wine.
_____"There is no one else. In fact, I'm through with girls altogether." Donna laughs so hard she nearly drops your drank as she hands it to you. Relieved that the ice has finally broken, you continue. "It's true. I've turned over a new leaf."
_____"Okay, let me guess. You are a born again Christian and you just had to see me tonight because you think my soul is in danger?"
_____"No, nothing like that. Girls are childish, immature." You take a sip of your drink and sigh. "I'm ready for a woman. I'm ready for you."
_____Donna began to clap. "I knew there was a punchline to this joke."
_____"It's not a joke. I'd really like another chance."
_____"I still feel something for you, but I've changed too. I'm not going to go for the same bullshit."
_____You take her hand and hold it against your heart. "You were the first person who wanted to take a relationship to the next level and it just blew my mind. I'm a different person now."
_____You are working so had to convince her that you are starting to believe it yourself. After all, life with Donna really wasn't that bad. Being single and spontaneous is fun, but it was nice having someone in your corner that you knew you could rely on. You are surprised that Donna hasn't jerked her hand away. Are her eyes getting moist? It's time to make your move.
Kiss her.
Bring her over to the sofa.
