You are my best friend and
we have no secrets
but yes there something I've
been hiding from you.
hear me out I'll tell you do time
that my secret life is not a crime.
For all these years I have hiding
my true self from you.
scared of society will take me for,
what you will think of me,
I waiting to come out my closet door.
hiding my identity to gain acceptance
from my family
I have to be unhappy so everybody else
would'nt look down on me
so I couldnt be me.
until now, I have to let you know even though
I know this will change our relationship.
and how you will look at me
but before I say another word
you have to promise me,
for what I'm about to tell you
you will always love me.
not cause I'm your daughter
but for who I am,
and who I will be
you have to promise me,
I know that you can't wait any longer,
for what I'm about to say.
