_____by T E Vaughner

You pull at my heart
Tug at my crotch
Yank at Me
Pulling me down into the center
That is our love

We melt into one
Yet separate
Two distinct shapes
Formed to fit each other

Sometimes we are shocking pepto-pink
Loud, obnoxious, soulless Techno
Fighting to be heard but saying nothing
Rushing hither and yon
Oblivious

Sometimes we are plaid
Or beige
Or hunter green
Ordinary
Nondescript

Sometimes we are black
My favorite color
Whole and complete
With only the barest trace
Of the line that divides us

We form our own Trinity
You, Me and the Love
That is the membrane
That keeps our dark shapes intact
