_____Teresa sat on the bench in the stadium and wondered what the hell she was doing there. Cavalier stadium is not a place where she frequents. Her very excited friend and roommate Pam sat next to her and was just about breaking her neck to spot the player she had a crush on. "Damn, where is she, all those uniforms look the sam," Pam said frustrated.
_____"I don't know, they all look the same to me, what number is she?"
_____" I don't know, 24, 42, 36 something," Pam said straining her neck.
_____"Well what does she look like?"
_____"She's tall, muscular and she has a really nice ass."
_____"Oh that's gonna help, your never gonna find her by looking at the players asses," Teresa said sardonically.
_____"Look, there she is!" Pam said excitedly.
_____"Which one?"
_____"Number 22, I'd remember that ass anywhere."
_____"You got to be kidding me, you can't tell by her ass."
_____"Betcha I'm right."
_____"Bet me what?" Teresa said knowing this was an easy bet to win.
_____"If I'm right you come with me after the game to talk to her."
_____"And if you're not right?"
_____"Then you don't have to come to another game with me."
_____"Deal," Teresa said smiling.
_____"When she takes her helmet off we'll know for sure."
_____Teresa sat patiently while the game was played, they were both waiting for number 22 to take her helmet off but every time she looked like she was about to take it off the coach put her in the game. It was the last quarter and Teresa was looking forward to not coming to any more football games. A roar from the crowd brought her back to the game and she saw another player running at top speed with the ball. The player broke two tackles and ran into the end zone for the game winning touchdown. The crowd went nuts and all the players on the team rushed the field. They all took off their helmets and Teresa was immediately struck by the cute and powerfully built number 24.
_____"Who is that?" She asked Pam.
_____"Who?"
_____ "Number 24"
_____"Oh, that's Max."
_____"Max?"
_____"Yeah short for Maxine."
_____"Oh, well she's..."
_____"Yeah I know, she's almost as fine as my Nick."

_____"Well, soon to be mine" Pam said confidently.
_____"Does this woman even know you exist?"
_____"Yeah, I ran in to her a couple of times, but we never stopped to talk, but that's all about to change."

_____"Hell yeah, because you just lost our bet, I told you it was her" Pam said smiling and pointing as number 22 took off her helmet and it was indeed Nick.
_____"Damn woman, how much time did you spend staring at her ass?"
_____"You know me, a fine butch with a nice ass is too much for me to pass up."
_____"Alright, so when do you want to go and talk to her?"
_____"Right now" Pam said snatching Teresa's hand as she quickly got up and went to the lower level where the players were.
_____"So how are you going to meet her?"
_____"I'm just gonna walk up to her."
_____"Just walk up to her, Pam you don't even have a plan?
_____"I don't need a plan, I'm just gonna walk up to her and say hi."

_____Nick was walking from the playing field and couldn't believe the play that won the game. She forced the turnover and her homegirl Max ran the ball in for a touchdown. Damn, it was a nice play but what was even nicer was that cutie in the stands that she always sees. Nick wondered if she should approach her but she didn't think that was a good idea. She had run into her a couple of times before but she always let the opportunity slip away and was too chicken to say anything. Tonight the woman had someone with her, at first Nick thought the woman was her girlfriend but it was obvious they were just friends. She was looking at a cut she had on her hand from the game and almost ran somebody over
_____"Oh, I'm sorry" Nick said automatically reaching to steady the person that she was about three inches taller than.
_____"That's ok, I wasn't looking where I was going" Pam said.
_____It was her! The woman from the game! Nick scrambled to think of what to say.
_____"Are you ok, I didn't hurt you did I?" Nick said.
_____"No I'm fine, but it looks like your not" Pam said still holding on to the hand that had reached out to steady her.
_____"Oh that, it's just a cut."
_____"Well you still need to take care of it."
_____"I'll make sure I do that..." Nick trailed off hoping to get a name.
_____"Pamela, but everybody calls me Pam."
_____"Well hello Pam, I'm Nick."
_____"Nice to meet you Nick, and this is my friend Teresa" Pam said pulling Teresa who had been waiting patiently off to the side.
_____"Nice to meet you Teresa" Nick said politely but quickly focusing her attention back to Pam.
_____"That was a great game, that turnover you forced at the end was the best part" Pam said smiling broadly.
_____"That was a great play, but I like the part where the other player ran it back for the touchdown" Teresa said.
_____"Oh you liked that huh, well that was my dawg Max."
_____"Well when you see Max, let her know that her play was really nice."
_____"Why don't you tell her yourself" Nick said seeing Max come their way.
_____"Hey Max, you've got a fan over here" Nick said.
_____"Man you always joke..." Max started but stopped short when she saw Teresa.
_____"This is Teresa, and she really liked your play at the end of the game."
_____"Well I'm glad to hear that" Max said doing everything but licking her lips at Teresa.
_____Pam could tell they were both attracted to each other, it was pretty obvious.
_____Teresa was trying her best not to stare at Max she was standing there in her uniform, dirty, and sweaty and smiling at her, Teresa had never been so attracted to a woman before.
_____"OK players, I want a meeting in the locker room right now" Coach Watkins said, his voice hoarse from the game.
_____"That's us" Nick said.
_____"OK" Pam said disappointedly.
_____"Hey, do ya'll have any plans for tonight?" Nick asked quickly.
_____"Well..." Teresa started out but Pam quickly cut her off.
_____"No, why?"
_____"Well if ya'll don't mind waiting for me and Max, we'll get showered and change then we can all go out together."
_____"Like a double date?" Pam said.
_____"Well I was thinking more like four friends going out, having dinner then maybe dancing afterwards."
_____"Speak for yourself Nick" Max said looking at Teresa, "I was thinking date" and felt her stomach jump when Teresa gave her a sexy smile.
_____"Well um...if a date is ok with you Pam..." Nick said nervously.
_____"Of course it's ok with me, I'd love to go out on a date with you" Pam said all smiles.

_____Teresa looked over at her friend and wondered if she could be any more obvious.
_____Max glanced over at her friend and almost burst out laughing, poor Nick looked like she was about to have heart failure, and she knew Nick was shy but damn! She knew she had to take over from there
_____"Well how about this, lets do this right" Max said taking charge "Do ya'll live far from each other?"
_____"Were roommates" Pam answered.
_____"Really, so are we so that works out perfect, after we're done here we'll go home, get changed then we'll come and pick ya'll up and we'll go from there. That sound good to you?" Max said barely able to take her eyes off Teresa
_____"Sounds good to me" Teresa said.
_____"Sounds good to me too" Pam said somehow managing to stand even closer to Nick.
_____"Here's our address" Teresa said writing it down on a piece of paper and handing it to Max.
_____"OK, well then we'll see ya'll tonight" Max said holding out her hand to Teresa
_____"OK Teresa said" reaching out to shake Max's hand and was pleased when Max leaned down and kissed the back of it.
_____Pam stepped even closer to Nick and stood up on her tip toes and kissed her on the cheek.
_____"See you tonight" she said softly.
_____"See you tonight" Nick said smiling.
_____"Max! Nick! Do you need a written invitation?" Coach Watkins said from the locker room.
_____"Bye!" they both said then ran into the locker room.

_____Teresa and Pam were both getting ready for the date. Pam put on a sexy dress with a black scarf around her neck, while Teresa opted for a long black skirt with a slit up the side and some knee high boots and a tight fitting blouse. They both smiled when they were dressed... Nick and Max weren't going to know what hit them!
_____"Aren't you glad you came to the game with me and lost that bet?" Pam said from the bathroom.
_____"Hell yeah" Teresa said putting her necklace on "Max is so damn fine."
_____"Yeah she's cute, but Nick is sexy as hell."
_____"She's a cutie but she sure is shy."
_____"I know, I noticed that too, but that's OK I don't mind."
_____"Yeah I bet you don't, you better not corrupt that girl" Teresa said and heard Pam laugh.
_____"Oh I'm not going to corrupt her, but you know I'm not shy at all."
_____"I know, ya'll go good together."

_____"Yeah, ya'll make a cute couple and you saw how she was looking at you the whole time."
_____"Yeah I saw how she was looking at me...she wants me" Pam said confidently.

_____"Yeah, I know Max wants you too" Pam said.

_____"Hell yeah, she looked like she wanted to eat you up" Pam said teasing.
_____"Hmmm I hope so, because I would have no objection" Teresa said laughing.
_____"Max isn't shy at all, she's like the opposite of Nick" Pam said.
_____"Yeah, she's a take charge kind of woman" Teresa said, "I like that."
_____"They looked so cute in their uniforms" Pam said.
_____"Didn't they, now I know why you look at their butts so much" Teresa said.
_____"Do you think they are talking about us right now?" Pam wondered out loud
_____"Of course they are" Teresa said.

_____"Man you need to work on your shyness, Pam is a take charge kind of woman so maybe you'll be OK but you need to be aggressive" Max said.
_____"I'm not a very aggressive person" Nick said.
_____"Who ever heard of a non aggressive butch? Max said incredulously.
_____"I..."
_____"Bullshit you're not aggressive!" Aren't you the one that almost put the Hunter quarterback in the hospital because you tackled her so hard.
_____"That's football, of course I'm gonna be aggressive on the field, but I leave it on the field, I'm not aggressive with my women."
_____"But Nick they LIKE that, fem woman WANT us to take charge, they WANT us to be aggressive" Max said.
_____"Not all fem women like that Max" Nick said patiently.
_____"Well for your sake I hope so" Max said not understanding her friend.

_____"Young!" Man you only a year older than me."

_____"Whatever, you just better make sure you let Pam know whose wearing the pants in the relationship" Max said.
_____"Ah so young" Nick said putting on her watch.
_____"Why you say that?"
_____"Max let me tell you something, when you get with a woman you like, I mean you REALLY like you will find that you may THINK your "wearing the pants" in the relationship but that woman is in control."
_____"WHAT!" Max said.
_____"I'm telling you, you may be used to doing what you want and controlling shit, but when you find the "one" that woman is gonna put your ass in check."
_____"Nick...you are losing your mind if you think I will EVER let a woman put me in check" Max said and frowned when Nick started laughing.
_____"OK remember what happened to Dee?"
_____"What happened to her?
_____"Remember how she was acting all big and bad, swearing up and down that no woman would ever put her in check?"
_____"Yeah so."
_____"Well all that changed when Kathleen came into the picture. She put Dee in check so quick Dee didn't even know what happened. She talked a lot of shit, but before she knew it Kathleen had her holding her purse while she was in the dressing room."
_____"Well that's not gonna be me" Max said.
_____"OK we'll see, you ready to go?
_____"Yeah."

_____They arrived in separate cars, Max wanted to be alone with Teresa.
_____When they got to the front door and rang the doorbell two jaws dropped when the door opened.
_____"Ya'll are right on time" Pam said smiling, enjoying Nick's reaction.
_____Both Nick and Max just stood there for a second staring, Nick couldn't help it, she said what she was thinking.
_____"Oh my God."
_____"What Nick meant to say ladies, is you look beautiful" Max said trying to cover for her awestruck friend.
_____"Well thank you... are those for us?" Pam said referring to the flowers they were holding.
_____"Yes" they both said handing them over.
_____"They are beautiful" Teresa said smelling them.
_____"I know something that's more beautiful" Max said and mentally questioned herself. It wasn't like her to say such corny stuff, she was too cool for that. But she was rewarded by a beautiful smile.
_____"Thank you" Teresa said as they came in. She and Pam went into the kitchen to get a vase.
_____"Did you see their faces?" Pam said laughing.
_____"Yeah, I didn't think poor Nick would be able to talk."
_____"I know, she's so sweet, it's funny everything is written all over her face I can tell what she's thinking by just looking at her."
_____"I can't do that with Max, she hides her emotions pretty good."
_____"You can handle her" Pam said.
_____"Oh I know I can, she's one of those proud, likes to be in control butches, I bet she's a Leo...but that's OK, putting them in check is my specialty."
_____"Cmon, we don't want to keep our women waiting" Pam said and they both walked into the living room laughing.

_____They had a good time at the restaurant, both couples got along pretty good and it was apparent to everyone that there was some serious sexual tension at the table.
_____Nick was getting hot flashes whenever she looked at Pam chew her food, she never looked at eating as something sensual but when she looked at Pam's sensual lips and throat she wanted her lips there. Max was having similar problems where Teresa was concerned. She was trying to concentrate on the conversation but everytime Teresa crossed her legs she got a nice view because of the slit in the skirt and she could barely keep her eyes above the table.

_____Of course Pam and Teresa knew what was going on. They were in complete control. Pam could tell that that Nick was doing more watching than listening, and Teresa could see the struggle that Max was having keeping her eyes off her legs. This first date was an important one; this was the time when they would decide if they wanted to keep Max and Nick. So far things were looking pretty good. They both knew if they put their mind to it Max and Nick would be theirs. But first they had to see if they would pass the test. Every fem woman wants her woman's attention on no one but her and so far Max and Nick were doing pretty well. They were very attentive, not the best listeners but they could work on that. Teresa announced she was going to the ladies room and of course Pam got up to go with her.

_____"Why do they do that?" Max said.
_____"Do what?" Nick asked.
_____"Go to the bathroom together, I mean if you said you had to go to the bathroom I wouldn't get up and follow you."
_____"Young buck, they are going to talk about us, neither one of them have to go at all, they are going to talk about how the night is going, if they should make up an excuse to leave early or if they should continue with it."
_____"What! What makes you think that"
_____"Trust me" Nick said.

_____"So how do you think it's going so far?" Pam asked.
_____"I think it's going fine, Nick can't keep her eyes off you and Max can't keep her eyes off my legs."
_____"That doesn't bother you?"
_____"No, I wouldn't have worn this skirt if I didn't want her looking at my legs, now if she wasn't looking..." Teresa said letting the sentence trail off
_____"Yeah I know, I keep doing things so Nick will look at my mouth, I'm trying to get her to think about kissing me."
_____"Oh that's what you were doing?"
_____"Yeah, and I think it's working, when I took a bite out of the bread you should have seen her lick her lips, I thought she wanted to come over there and lay one on me!" Pam said.
_____"So how do you think they are doing so far?"
_____"Pretty good, girlfriend material I think."
_____"Me too, well we still have to see how they act when we get around other women. It's easy for them to be good when it's just us but we've got to get them into a club setting where there's plenty to look at and then see how they act."
_____"Right, Max better act right" Teresa said.
_____"Nick too, she better not even think about looking at another woman."
_____"Well let's get back out there."

_____They left the rest room not going anywhere near the toilet stalls.

_____"I feel much better" Pam said when they got back to the table.
_____"Me too"
_____"So where would you ladies like to go after this?" Max said.
_____"Well, we were thinking about going to the Underground"
_____"Sounds good to me."

_____The club was dark and there were women of all shapes and sizes everywhere.
_____The DJ was playing a mix of R&B and slow jams. Both Nick and Max offered them a drink but they both refused, wanting to be completely sober for the evening. R. Kelly was bumpin and they got up to dance. Teresa liked the way Max immediately held her close. Pam, being the aggressive fem she is, put her hands around Nick's neck and smiled when she felt Nick's strong hands wrap around her waist and pull her close. Nick and Max looked at each other and smiled, they knew they were getting some tonight. As the dance continued, Pam and Teresa looked at each other and knew exactly what Max and Nick were thinking and they knew nobody wasn't getting nothing that night. Nick and Max would have to wait; they still didn't pass the test. Teresa and Max went back to the table holding hands; Max sat and pulled Teresa in her lap

_____"It is" Max said testing to see how she responded to that.
_____"OK, well that sounds good to me."
_____Max thought to herself, I told Nick women wanted us to be aggressive, they want us to take charge. Teresa will do what I want if I put it to her the right way. Man, Nick needs to stop acting like a pussy and get firm with hers.
_____Teresa put her head on Max's shoulder and thought Max really thinks I'll obey orders, well I'll let her think that for now, but little does she know she's gonna be at my beck and call. If you train them right they will do anything for you, I intend to train Max right. I'll let Max think she's in control, but I'm running this show.

_____Nick and Pam came and sat down and Pam sat close enough to rub her leg against Nick's leg. Nick could feel herself getting hot and she was looking forward to the evening.
_____Pam heard some loud voices and looked at the entrance and saw a bunch of women walking in and knew the test was about to begin. They both got up to go to the restroom again and left Max and Nick waiting.
_____"Man, do they always go together?"
_____"I told you what they were doing, talking about us."
_____"Well since their talking about us, lets talk about them."
_____"What about them?"
_____"You like Pam?"
_____"You know I do, I'm hoping I don't blow it with her."
_____"Why do you say that?"
_____"Well I was thinking, maybe you were right, maybe I need to be more aggressive."
_____"Hell yeah, I told Teresa that she HAD to sit on my lap every time she sat down. I didn't ASK... I TOLD her and you know what, she said OK. I'm tellin you man, you gotta be firm with them."
_____"But Pam's not the same as Teresa."
_____"I know, but just see how it works."
_____While they were talking they didn't even notice the two women making their way over to them.
_____"Hi!"
_____Both Nick's and Max's head went up.
_____"Hello ladies" Max said.
_____"Would ya'll like to dance?"
_____"Well we're here with our dates."
_____"Your dates...well if your dates came here then they must not mind you dancing with other women, this is a club" The shorter woman said.
_____"That may be, but were just gonna wait for them to get back" Nick said.
_____"Suit yourself, it's your loss" The taller woman said as they walked away.
_____"So do you think Teresa likes me?" Max said, already forgetting about the women.
_____"Of course she likes you, she puts up with your arrogance doesn't she."
_____"HA!, that's where your wrong, she LIKES my arrogance!" Max said smiling.
_____"Were back" Pam said.
_____"About time" Max said placing Teresa in her lap, "I was missing you."
_____"Oh were you?"
_____"We sure were" Nick said.

_____Things progressed from there, Pam and Teresa decided to hold on to Max and Nick, they always attended their football games and Pam was always giving Nick advice on her playing style. Teresa was content to be a behind the scenes kind of woman for Max, she knew Max thought she was running things but Max didn't even know Teresa was molding her into the perfect butch for her.

_____Nick looked at the clock on the wall and knew Pam was on her way over. They had been together for three months and they still had not "gone all the way". Nick was in agony, she wanted Pam so bad but every time they fooled around and things started to heat up Pam would stop her. She couldn't help but be frustrated. She didn't know what the problem was, she was always nice and gentle and respectful with Pam but it seemed like Pam was determined to make her wait, but she had no idea why. She had a candle lit dinner prepared and was hoping tonight was the night she and Pam finally made love.
_____Max was over at Teresa's so she knew there wasn't going to be any interruptions.
_____She heard Pam's key in the lock and quickly looked around to make sure the place was right she mentally went down her checklist. Candles...check, Flowers...check, Music...check, rose petals...check, champagne...check. Everything was right.

_____Pam walked into the apartment and was immediately overwhelmed by how beautiful the place looked. It was glowing with soft candles there was something cooking and there was Jill Scott playing on the stereo. The only thing that was missing was Nick.
_____"Welcome home" Nick said coming up behind her kissing her on the neck and hugging her.
_____"Baby, it's beautiful" Pam said turning around and putting her arms around Nick's neck kissing her deeply.
_____Nick wanted to pick Pam up and take her to the bedroom, but whenever she tried to take it there Pam shut her down. So she would have to be patient. They ate dinner and Nick was dying, Pam was teasing her bad and Nick didn't know how long she could take it. They were in the middle of a heated kiss when Pam put Nick's hands on her breasts and moaned when Nick squeezed. Nick already had her blouse unbuttoned and the shirt was off. Pam was dripping wet and it was driving Nick crazy. She wanted to taste her more than anything.

_____"Honey what's wrong" Nick said Pam looked like she was on the verge of tears.
_____"Nothing" Pam said trying to get up but Nick wasn't letting her move
_____"Why are you trying to get up, we need to talk about this" Nick said.
_____"Look Nick I know you want sex..."
_____"You think that's all I want?" Nick said cutting her off.
_____Pam's silence answered her.
_____"Baby that's not all I want at all, I don't want just sex, I want you."

_____Nick looked at Pam and saw all the strength that she had but saw the vulnerability. Pam was a very strong and outspoken woman but she was very sensitive and loving. Nick knew she didn't want to ever let her go.
_____"I want you to be with me forever...I love you Pam" Nick said looking intently at Pam gauging her reaction, hoping she didn't make a mistake by telling her that.
_____"You love me?" Pam echoed surprised and happier than she had ever been
_____"Yes I love you" Nick said bending down and kissing the inside of Pam's hand marveling in how small and soft it was compared to her's.
_____"I love you too" Pam said softly.
_____Nick slowly looked up at Pam with a smile and kissed her softly letting her kiss tell Pam how she felt about her. Pam stood up getting ready to lead Nick to the bedroom when she noticed the song that had come on was Jill Scott's "He Loves Me" Lyzel in E flat. She heard the words and she felt it was written especially for them. She stood above Nick and cupped her face in her hand. Nick then moved from the couch to the floor and hugged Pam around the waist. She's kneeling at my feet Pam thought to herself moved to tears. No woman had ever knelt at her feet. No woman had ever loved her enough. She looked down at Nick there and felt so much love that she felt like her heart would explode. Nick stood and easily scooped Pam up in her strong arms and carried her to the bedroom...with no objection from Pam.

_____Max was waiting in the living room for dinner to be ready and was wondering where she was going wrong. Teresa was crazy about her, she knew that. But what she couldn't figure out was why she wouldn't give it up. They had been together for four months and no pussy! Max was shaking her head in confusion. _____"Teresa aint goin no where" Max said not worried at all.
_____"OK Max, play big and bad if you want to, but when that woman leaves your ass flat don't say I didn't tell you."
_____"Look,Teresa aint goin nowhere and I don't have to kneel at her feet to let her know I care."
_____"No, you don't but you still have to let her know, she's not psychic Max, you have to tell her how you feel. "
_____"She knows how I feel about her."
_____"Have you told her?"
_____"Well I..."
_____"Let me guess you hint around at it and she's supposed to figure it out from all the hints you drop."
_____"Well..."
_____"You better tell her Max, stop playing the big bad butch for one minute and tell her how you really feel about her, I promise you it's worth it."

_____"Pam I don't know how long it's gonna last with me and Max."
_____"Why what's wrong" Pam said getting ready to go out with Nick.
_____After "that night" things with her and Nick have been going beautifully. Nick is sweet, attentive and she always let's Pam know that she's the only woman on her mind. Pam was very happy with Nick but she hoped things would be going better with Teresa and Max.
_____"She's really sweet and things are going pretty good, but she is always trying to get me to sleep with her" Teresa said.
_____"Well ya'll have been dating for three months" Pam said dryly.
_____"I know, we've been dating for three months and she still hasn't told me how she feels about me."
_____"Girl you know Max is crazy about you."
_____"I think I do but how do I know that if she never tells me."
_____"Well you have to get her to tell you then."
_____"No, I'm not going to force her or trick her into telling me how she feels, she needs to come to me and tell me" Teresa said firmly.
_____"Aight then, handle ya business."
_____"Why couldn't she be more like Nick?" Teresa said frustrated.
_____"Nick is perfect isn't she?" Pam said smiling when she heard a knock on the door and knew it was Nick.
_____"And punctual too" Pam said getting up going to the door to give her woman a big kiss. It felt so good to be in Nick's strong but very tender arms.
_____"I missed you baby" Nick said.
_____"I missed you too, I'm gonna show you how much tonight" Pam said teasing Nick.

_____Nick immediately took out her cell phone and started dialing numbers.
_____"Who are you calling?"
_____"The restaurant, I need to cancel the reservations" Nick said still dialing when Pam snatched the phone out of her hand.
_____"You're not canceling anything, were going to this restaurant then were going to the waterfront then were gonna..."
_____"Why you makin me wait woman, we can do that stuff anytime" Nick said
_____"Patience is a virtue" Pam said walking out the room to get her coat.
_____
_____"Teresa tell me, why is she making us go out when we can spend the night at home alone"
_____"I don't know Nick, you know how Pam is, once her mind is set on something..."
_____"Yeah I know" Nick said smiling. "She sure is something."
_____ Nick looked around and noticed they were the only ones in the house.
_____"Where's Max?"
_____"I was just about to ask you."
_____"I haven't seen her all day."
_____"I don't know, she probably somewhere watching ESPN or something" Teresa said.
_____"I know Max can be frustrating some time, but be patient with her she really likes you."
_____"Then where is she, I havent heard form her all day and she's not answering her cell phone."
_____"I don't know where she is, but just be patient, she's still going through her dominant phase, let her work through it."
_____"She's about to be going through her single phase if she doesn't get her shit together."
_____"You ready baby?" Pam said walking to the door.
_____"Yeah let's go, please just be patient with her" Nick said walking out the door.

_____Three hours and many cell phone calls later Teresa couldn't take it anymore, it was either sit down and cry or do something about Max. But the problem was she didn't know what to do. She went to her closet and picked out her most revealing outfit and got ready to go out. She wasn't about to sit home alone while Max was out doing God knows what. She went to a popular lesbian club and sat at the bar and looked around at everyone around her having a good time, but all she could think about was Max. A couple of hours later she was about to give up and go home, she wasn't having any fun and she didn't want to see people kissing and hugging. She got up to get ready to go when a handsome butch came up to her and introduced herself as Dee. She let her know that she had been watching her all night. They talked for a little while but all Teresa could think about was Max. She told the woman she was getting ready to catch a cab home but Dee insisted she drive her home. She didn't live far and before she knew what she was saying she said yes. They talked on the way to Teresa's place she told Dee all about Max and how she didn't know where she was. Toni told her about her ex girl and all the drama that came with her. It was after 2am when they got to Teresa's place. She thanked Dee and accepted her phone number, they both knew they would be just friends. She was walking up the stairs to her apartment when she saw Max standing there furious
_____"Where the fuck were you?"
_____"Excuse me"
_____"You heard me and who the fuck was that" Max asked.
_____"Oh no no no you don't just show up on my doorstep asking me questions when I haven't heard from you all day" Teresa said furious.
_____"It's after two in the morning and your just getting in" Max said.
_____"I know what time it is" Teresa walking into the apartment with Max hot on her heels.
_____"So where were you?"
_____"Where were you?" Teresa countered.
_____"I'm asking the questions right now, and I want to know where you were and who was that."
_____"Well if you must know, I went to the club and that was a woman I met there" Teresa said
_____She couldn't explain it but she wanted Max to feel some of the hurt she had been feeling all day. She knew their relationship was on thin ice but this was it. Max was crazy if she thought she would come off the street and interrogate her. All the hurt and anger she had been feeling lately was coming to the surface and Max was going to feel it.
_____"You went to the club?" Max said incredulous.
_____"Yes I did, and I was dancing and having a good time and I met someone that knows how to treat a woman." Teresa said not knowing were all the lies were coming from but she just wanted to hurt Max.
_____"And that one that drove you home" Max said strangely quiet
_____Teresa made a small show of going into her purse and pulling out Dee's phone number
_____"That would be...Dee" Teresa said holding the paper in her hand.
_____It looked like all of the fight had gone out of Max, Teresa couldn't believe it but it looked like Max was on the verge of tears.
_____"Do...do you like her?" Max said quietly.
_____"Yes, yes I do, she was very nice and like I said, she knows how to treat a woman" Teresa said still trying to hurt Max.
_____Max just nodded and sighed deeply and shook her head.
_____"Nick warned me...she warned me that if I didn't treat you right and let you know how I feel about you I would loose you" Max said.
_____
_____This was a side of Max that Teresa had never seen, normally Max was loud and brash and always sure of herself. Now she looked sad and confused and it surprised Teresa that Max would even let her see this side of her. She felt such a wave of tenderness for Max that she wanted to rush over there and hug her, but she fought against it. Max had hurt her and she deserved what she was getting. She desperately wanted to give Max another chance, but if she was at one of her friends houses or some girls house or just out with friends she didn't know if she could forgive that. She didn't mind her going over her friend's house but she at least could have called. She needed to know where Max was all damn day long.

_____"Where were you Max?" Teresa said.
_____"I was home."
_____"Home?" Teresa said confused Max's family lived two hours away in Maryland.
_____"Yeah, when I got up this morning I was going to call you like I always do, but this morning I called my mother to talk to her. Whenever I have something real important on my mind I call my mother for advice."
_____Teresa didn't know whether to believe her or not but as she listed to Max she knew she was telling the truth. Deep down Max is a momma's girl. Max being very close with her mother called her when she didn't know what to do about Teresa.

_____"I called her and told her I thought I had fallen in love with someone but I didn't know how to come out and tell her. I told her that I didn't know how to express myself and I didn't know what I should do. She told me that it was a pattern with me, whenever I got close to a woman that I would get scared and start to run away. But she said that this woman must mean a lot to me because instead of running away I called her to ask her about what I should do."
_____Teresa just sat there in amazement. Max actually called her mother and told her she had fallen in love with her. As she watched Max as she talked she realized that Max had not looked at her once as she talked. She either kept her head down or looked in the other direction as if she were scared of her. This was surprising, as much shit as Max talks as soon as she gets scared she runs home to her mama. Teresa couldn't help but smile. Max was such a baby.
_____"So she told me that if I loved you I needed to be here with you instead of in Maryland with her and to come home and tell you how I feel about you" Max said still not looking at Teresa
_____"And how do you feel about me" Teresa said
_____"You know how I feel about you" Max said still not looking at her
_____"Max look at me" Teresa said taking Max by the chin forcing her to look at her "I'm not psychic, how do I know how you feel about me if you never tell me?"
_____"I..."
_____"Tell me"
_____"I...I love you" Max said feeling as if a huge weight had been taken off her shoulders, her heart jumped when she saw the slow sweet smile Teresa gave her
_____"How much" Teresa said determined to get Max to reveal as much as she could
_____
_____Max again looked away and wondered what Teresa was doing, she had told her she loved her wasn't that enough? Apparently not, it looked like Teresa wanted a full out confession. Well her mother had told her to be honest with Teresa and really let her know how she felt. She knew it was going to be hard but she didn't know it was going to be this hard. She gathered all her strength and let Teresa know what was in her heart.

_____"I...I love you more than anything, I've never met anyone like you before, you take care of me, you put up with my bull shit, you always let me know your thinking about me. You've been the perfect girlfriend to me and I don't want to ever loose you. When I saw you with that girl, it felt like my heart was being ripped out and I've never felt like that before...that's why I started yelling, because I didn't know what else to do. I thought I had lost you and it terrified me. I don't know what I would do without you. You mean the world to me. You have my heart.... if you want it"
_____There was a stunned silence in the room. Max just sat back and waited for Teresa's response.
_____"Max of course I want it, that's all I've ever wanted" Teresa said grabbing her head bringing her over for a kiss
_____"For real"
_____"For real, baby I just wanted you to tell me how you felt, when you just disappeared today I thought it was your way of telling me that you didn't want to be with me anymore"
_____"No, no baby I just need some advice from my mother, she's never been wrong and whenever I don't know what to do I go to her. She told me to come back here and make sure I didn't let you get away, and I always listen to my mother" Max said kissing Teresa on her neck
_____"I'm glad to hear that, I love you so much Max, I was going to strangle you if you didn't just come out and let me know how you felt. Your so stubborn it's ridiculous. But I'm glad you came around"
_____"Me too, so what do you want to do now, it's late do you want to watch some TV?"
_____"TV...no the only thing were going to do is go into that bedroom and your gonna show me how much you love me and I'm gonna show you how much I love you"

_____Max's heart started pounding, damn she should have told Teresa she loved her sooner, she wasn't getting any ass all this time and it was her fault, but she was getting ready to make up for it.
_____"So we 'bout to get freaky?" Max said mischievously
_____"Baby we 'bout to get real freaky" Teresa said already getting up and heading to the bedroom with Max's hand firmly grasped in her's.

_____Two months later...
_____"So it's actually come to this" Max said standing next to Nick in the clothing store in disbelief
_____"I told ya young buck, there aint no way around it...eventually this is where we were gonna end up" Nick said shaking her head
_____
_____Max just sighed and shook her head, it was not her idea of fun standing by the dressing room of the department store holding a purse. Of course Pam and Teresa were "just gonna be a second" but that second quickly turned into a half and hour of trying on clothes. Outfit after outfit they walked in and out of the dressing room never quite satisfied and Max and Nick were given explicit directions not to move, just to wait for them. So the two just did what they were told and waited...holding purses for their ladies.
_____"Man this is embarrassing" Max said
_____"Awww don't worry about it, our patience is gonna pay off later" Nick said easily
_____"Why you say that?"
_____"Well whatever outfits they decide to get...tonight were gonna have fun taking them off"
_____"Ahhh that's a very good point. I hope she gets something sexy" Max said already planning on the fun she was going to have tonight.
_____
_____So Max and Nick just patiently waited, knowing the reward was going be well worth the wait. And of course it was. Teresa and Pam saw to that.
