As the rain falls softly outside and Lalah sings her song. I am here with you enclosed in my arms, inhaling your scent and basking in your warmth. My love for you grows with each beat of my heart. Soft kisses, promises to be forever, am I dreaming? Is it real? I've waited so long for you my Naima, my queen, and here you are, with me, in my arms. When the world turns blue and cold will you still be with me? If our families and friends disagree with the love we share and have, will you stay with me? I've waited this long, I can and will wait longer until you decide you want to experience paradise with me. I love you, my queen, and I shall love you forever more. Promise me you won't leave but rather stay by my side through the good times and bad.
I feel your tears on my hand. No crying my love, this night never has to end. Let me hold you and rock you in my arms. I'll do my best to keep you from all harm. I love you and want you to forever be my lady, my angel, my Naima Aki.
The one that has stolen my heart and my mind as well. There's not a day that passes that you don't cross my mind. I hear your name on the wind, as the sunshine that reminds me of your smile warms my skin. I'm embraced by your love and I don't want it to end, but even if it does, I have hope that we'll remain friends.
Kiss me with those soft pink lips, caress me with those lovely hands. So serene your face when you sleep in my arms, neither worries nor fright rest on your face, just looks of true, genuine love. You are mine; of this there is no doubt, but am I yours? This we shall soon find out. Softly the rain falls as Joe Sample plays the piano and the man blows his horn. It's a rainy, jazzy Saturday. We kiss and I feel you whisper "I love you" against my lips. "I love you too, my Naima Aki."
THE END
