_____ by Cleapatra L. Brown
Thoughts go through your mind that you can live without your other.
You'll just remain friends and keep your love undercover.
Sitting there thinking that you're not together any more
Did you do the right thinking, you're not so sure.
Splitting a whole apart, breaking an already weak heart.
Tears fall down your cheeks and your body feels so weak.
You think if you leave her alone your love will fade.
The long talks you had the love that you made.
Will your love ever be returned, you're not so sure.
You'll just go on living with this pain you must endure.
The heart that once was yours belongs to another.
You find out you were just being kept undercover.
Her nonchalant attitude is breaking you heart.
And the pain you feel seems as if your whole body is splitting apart.
The things you do to rid of her does not work at all.
You look into her eyes as she watches your tears fall.
You know it's over, but you don't want to admit it.
You've come to the conclusion that you shouldn't have done it.
Started something that you knew wouldn't be completed.
You know now as your heart is slowly being deleted.
All eyes on you wondering what you're gonna do.
In the end you'll get over it just like SOMEONE did too.
But right now that fail is nagging on your mind.
And your thoughts get jumbled, the ones that go you in this bind.
And you realize she wasn't yours in the first place.
As the love you feel for each other is slowly being erased.
They say when you love something you're supposed to set it free.
And if it comes back it was meant to be.
But what about me, I'm the one that's left alone.
Now I have to find a new place for my heart to call home.
