_____ The next day at about 4:00 Shawn was kicking it with D, Taz and Keisha when her pager went off. "This girl knows she can't get enough of me dog."
_____"Whatever yo, just see what your woman wants," Devon said.
_____"Yeah see what your woman wants," Taz mocked
_____Shawn went in her car and called her girl.. "Hey baby," Camile said, "what are you up to?"
_____"Well," Shawn said, "I was hoping to be up on you later."
_____"Hmm, just what I was thinking. I was hoping sooner though."
_____"Oh? How much sooner," Shawn teased.
_____"Now sooner. You're not going to make me beg are you?"
_____"Of course not sweetie. Well, not now anyway. I'm on my way."
_____"Don't take too long, I can't wait much longer. Bye baby."
_____"Bye." With that Shawn told her homeys she had to leave. That was an invitation for Taz to start some shit about Shawn being whipped. Shawn didn't care she just ignored her and left. Camille was her woman and she was blessed to have her in her life so she would do anything to please her.
_____ As soon as Shawn arrived at Camille's apartment complex she noticed a car in the parking lot that looked like Chantay's. It couldn't possibly be hers, so she just went to Camille's apartment and thought nothing else of it. Shawn knocked on the door and Camille appeared at the door looking like her mother had just died. "Baby, what's wrong?" Shawn hugged her, but Camille just pulled away.
_____ As Shawn walked into the apartment her heart almost lept from her ches. Chantay and Kym, were sitting on the couch together. "What the fuck are you doing here Chantay? Camille, what's going on here and why are you crying baby?"
_____ Camille couldn't even look Shawn in the face without crying. She tried to answer but couldn't. Kym finally said, "I told Camille about you and Chantay."
_____"What the fuck are you talking about me and Chantay? There is no me and Chantay."
_____ Camille finally looked at Shawn with a face of disbelief. It looked like the face of someone whose heart had been ripped out. The last thing Shawn ever wanted to do was hurt Camille. With tears in her eyes Camille said, "Shawn, please don't lie to me anymore. My heart cannot take anymore of your lies."
_____"What are you talking about lies? Baby, honestly I don't know what you are talking about." Camille just turned away from Shawn because she couldn't stand to look at her.
_____"Why do you think I'm here Shawn?" Chantay broke in. "You not only hurt Camille, but what you did last night hurt me a lot as well." By now both women were crying.
_____"That's what this is about? last night? Chantay you don't give a shit about how Camille feels so don't even try and pretend that you do. You knew I was seeing Camille, yet you were going to let me...look, Camille, baby, last night was a mistake I swear. Baby you know I love..."
_____"Shawn," Kym interrupted, "one thing you should learn to do before your going to fuck someone in a public place is see if anyone else is around. You would think with your reputation you would know that."
_____"What! Fuck you Kym, I'm not like that anymore and you know that."
_____"See Camille, I told you, once a dog, always a dog." This made Camille cry even more and Shawn even more pissed because she had changed from her old ways. Now Camille would think that she meant nothing to Shawn, except sex when Shawn made her feel otherwise.
_____"Shawn, you mean to tell me that all I was to you was sex?" Camille managed to ask in between crying.
_____"No, baby, you know it was never like that with you, I...
_____"See, Playa, I was in the bathroom when you and Chantay decided to get it on. Yep, luckily I was in one of the stalls," Kym said.
_____"Then why the fuck didn't you say something?"
_____"I thought it was someone else, but when Chantay called your name, I knew it was you. I just couldn't believe it though, the way Camille bragged about your ass you would swear that you were a saint. I even tried calling Camille last night, but the phone was turned off. I guess that was the time when you two were intimate' which I'm sure Camille regrets now."
_____"Do you even know what intimate means?" Camille asked Shawn, "because it doesn't mean multiple sex partners."
_____"Honey, yes I do know what it means. You know how much I care about you. I treasured every moment that we spent together," Shawn said as she walked toward Camille. "It was never just about sex with you, baby, you know that."
_____"Don't even come near me. Nothing that you have said means anything to me anymore because you are nothing but a fucking liar."
_____"Camille, nothing really happened between Chantay and I -" "Nothing? Kym asked, "Shawn, last night you had your fingers all up in that girl!" It was then that Shawn realized that Kym had laid it all on the table and there wasn't anything that she had left out. She told Camille every detail of Shawn and Chantay's mini-fling.
_____"Kym, why don't you just shut the fuck up so I can talk to Camille!" Shawn yelled enraged. "We just..." Shawn couldn't finish the sentence.
_____"No, you listen Shawn. Nothing happened because I paged you when I did. If I hadn't you would have fucked her, excuse me finished fucking her." After Camille said this another set of tears started flowing down her face as she said, "The worst thing about it is after the fact that you and Chantay had your thin' you came to me like nothing had just occurred. You came to me and we made love and what did you tell me? You said that you would always love me and never do anything to hurt me. I believed you and I loved you, I gave you my heart, and this is how you repay me?"
_____ Shawn felt so bad for making this woman hurt like the way she did right now. She just wanted so bad to go over to her and hold her in her arms. She wanted to kiss her, hug her and let her know that she really did love her and never meant to hurt her. She couldn't though because Camille did not want to have anything to do with her. Camille turned away again from Shawn as she continued crying.
_____"Camille," Shawn finally said facing the truth, "I'm sorry for not telling you about what went down with me and Chan last night. Baby, if it were in my power to turn back the hands of time, last night would have never happened. I was just feeling vulnerable because of our fight and the alcohol, but I know that is still no excuse for my behavior-"
_____"You damn right that's no excuse," Kym broke in.
_____"Please, let me finish. Camille, I know you must hate me right now, but I just want you to know that you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I fucked up with the woman that I love, and yes I do love you. I don't ever want you to think that I don't because I do and I always will. I'm sorry for hurting you and I just want you to know that NOTHING that I have said in the past was a lie regarding my love for you. I meant every single word from the bottom of my heart. I love-"
_____"Just leave please," Camille said before Shawn could finish.
_____ Shawn turned around and with her heart on her sleeves left Camille's apartment. She had just lost the woman that she had loved.
_____ Chantay left right behind her and said, "So I guess this means that your single again baby?'"
_____"What? what the fuck are you implying?" Shawn replied as she let out a deep sigh. She tried to hold back, but could not fight the tears from coming as she walked to her car.
_____"Shawn, why are you crying? I did all of that for us."
_____"All of what? " Shawn said as she looked at Camille's car parked next to hers. The tears came flooding down now
_____ Chantay couldn't believe that Shawn was crying, she had never seen her cry before. "I was the one who told Kym to stay in the bathroom until we came in. I knew that if I made you mad enough you would pull me into the bathroom to confront me. I did that so that we could have a second chance."
_____ Shawn was so heartbroken that she didn't realize what Chantay had said until a few minutes later. "You mean you fuckin set me up? God, I could just kill- you know what, it doesn't even fuckin matter anymore. Nothing matters anymore," Shawn said as she was about to get into her car with tear-filled eyes. "Camille still isn't gonna take me back."
_____"What do you mean it doesn't matter? Why the fuck are you still worrying about Camille?"
_____"Chantay, that was some foul shit that you pulled, but... what's done is done. What you did was really fucked me up. Camille was my love and my life. I'll see you around sometime."
_____ With that Shawn left Chantay standing in the parking lot dumbfounded. She couldn't believe how much Shawn actually hurt. She now realized that Shawn did love Camille and would resent her for doing that to their relationship.
_____ Meanwhile, while driving home Shawn caught the crying disease, something that she had never experienced before, and decided to call Taz to let her know what had just occurred. "Taz"
_____"Shawn? Why the fuck do you sound like that? Are you crying? Who died?"
_____"My heart stopped beating, but I don't know how come I'm still alive. Camille... dumped me," Shawn managed to say.
_____"Damn Shawn, you better get your ass over here. I know how much you loved her."
_____"I've just lost the woman that I love because of some...complications."
