_____I hate these things. I hate these things. I hate these things.
Two weeks? I can't believe my boss assigned me to this trip. She knows I always fly home
every year at this time for my mother's birthday. She knows I hate going on business trips that
are more than three days. She knows I get cranky when I am away from my superior classical
jazz collection, my pet cat Eve and my pillow for too long. Knowing all this, my boss sent me
anyway. I agreed because she gave me that I-need-you-like-a-dope-head-needs-crack look. The
positive side to the trip was that the meetings were being conducted in Aruba while the Black
Independent Film Makers Convention was going on. I loved independent films and would
definitely soak in some sun and finish reading some books during my down time.
_____The flight was quiet and relaxing for once. I slept for the
majority of it, but I couldn't keep my eyes off the exquisite honey-brown creature with the
deepest dimples sitting across from me. She was shuffling papers the entire flight. I just blew
her off as some uptight business woman on a mission from the board room.
_____As I was checking into the hotel, the clerk handed me a
message from my boss. My initial meeting had been moved up four hours. I looked at my
watch. I had thirty minutes to report on time. I gave the bell boy twenty dollars to take my bags
to my room--unharmed and unopened. I grabbed my briefcase and caught the next cab to my
clients' office. I just barely made it. I ran into the bathroom to freshen up. As I darted in, I
practically ran over that beautiful woman from the plane. I grabbed her arm. "Excuse me. I'm
sorry. I was just in a bit of a rush."
_____"Don't worry about it." She dashed out the door before I
could say another word.
_____Oh well. I was almost late anyway. I rushed
through a quick do-over job and trotted to the conference room. "Hello everyone." My client let
out a loud sigh of relief, gave me a long family type hug and kissed both my cheeks. I was
briefing him on what I would be discussing in this first meeting of negotiations when I felt this
burning stare on my neck. I turned around and there she was. Miss America Vanessa Williams
didn't have anything on this woman. I walked over to introduce myself. "Hello. My name
is-"
_____A tall, lanky white man stood up and grabbed my hand.
"We know who you are, Miss Brown. We heard you were the best attorney on the Eastern
Seaboard." He was trying to psych me. I will play for now.
_____"Well, you heard correctly then." I assumed he was lead
counsel for the other party.
_____"This is Iyana Bradford. She is the head-lawyer-in-charge
for these proceedings."
_____Well, damn. Fine, intelligent and in charge,
mmmm....She did not stand up, but nodded her head at me with brief eye contact. OK, I was
right the first time--uptight. I turned around and quickly took control of the meeting. "Well, let's
get started."
_____We sat at this large, round oak conference table and
started the negotiations. Since I was handed the case yesterday, I was not as familiar with the
particulars as I should have been. I prepared briefly last night while packing and jamming to
Cameo's Greatest Hits. "Shake Your Pants" was playing over and over in my head. I paid for
my ill preparedness. Miss Bradford ate my lunch. Hell, I should have been preparing on the
plane while I was fantasizing about her ass. I was very much impressed and pissed at the same
time. Matter-of-fact, her ass was too good, buy my skills did get me through the first stage of
negotiations with our heads above water. The film festival had to wait a couple of days--I
needed to prepare.
_____I took a cab back to the hotel and asked the driver to
take the scenic route. I needed to clear my head. When I was getting my key card for my room,
I noticed something familiar behind the registration counter--my damn luggage. "Hey, that's my
luggage."
_____"Oh this is yours, Miss Brown? You gave your
luggage to Luis. He doesn't speak any English. He was walking around with your belongings
for an hour trying to find you. I apologize."
_____Just what I needed. "I hope everything is intact."
_____"Oh, we do not employ thieves at this hotel."
_____Hell, that's what they all say. "OK, I will check it and
let you know."
_____"If anything is missing, call me and we will replace it.
Once again, I am sorry and dinner is on the hotel tonight. We will bring it to your room in an
hour. Will that be a good time for you?"
_____I nodded yes as the elevator doors shut. At this point, I
didn't care. I was more tired than hungry, but I knew I would need to eat something to supply
my body with some energy for my all night cram session.
_____After the bellboy left, I surveyed the room. It was
fully loaded. My boss did know how to accommodate her attorneys. I ran a bubble bath in this
huge black marble tub and immediately jumped in. I soaked for a while and bathed from head to
toe--twice. As I was letting the water out, someone knocked loudly on my door. Damn, the
room service.
_____I threw on a robe and walked to the door soaking wet.
Two room service attendants walked in with two carts loaded with food and several types of
champagne. OK, these people really knew how to apologize. I tipped the service
attendants--this time I spoke Spanish--and escorted them to the door.
_____"Looks like someone is having guests over when she
should be preparing her case."
_____It was Iyana. She was opening up her door. She had a
room across the hall from me--no way. I just glared at her and waved her off like she had bad
breath. I slightly slammed the door while she was smirking and staring at my partially open
robe. Wait...was she smirking at her comment or did she like what she saw? Forget it, that
would be like sleeping with the enemy.
_____Anyway, I ate like a queen. After dinner, I loaded
the full capacity refrigerator with the leftovers and got down to the business at hand. I
stayed up studying briefs and researching my case on the internet for most of the night. I slept
for about two hours and woke up revived and more prepared than the day before.
*
_____As part of my regular routine, I arrived to meetings
thirty minutes early to review documents, briefs and arguments. I walked into the conference
room and headed directly to the espresso and pastry table. "Miss Brown, I already have your
espresso and blueberry doughnut on the table."
_____I spun around and there she was with that same stupid
smirk on her face. How did she know that I drank espresso with a blueberry doughnut? I guess
her firm really did do their homework. I wanted to go over there and slap that look right off her
face. I knew I couldn't without jeopardizing my case, so I just chilled and said, "Thanks."
_____I sat down, opened my briefcase and spread out my
documents. I also took out some bottled water from last nights feast. She might have put
something in my coffee. I didn't trust her. After about fifteen minutes, I glanced across
the table. She was staring at me and she had that same smirk on her face. Oooo...I was grinding
my teeth. OK, that did it. "Miss Bradford..."
_____"Call me Iyana."
_____"Ahh...Miss Bradford, what seems to be the problem?
You have had that same smirk on your face for fifteen minutes, excuse me, since last night."
_____"Well, it's just that you look so cute when you are
nervous."
_____Oh no she didn't! Was she coming on to me or was
she trying to take me out of my game? That's my damn line. "First of all, I am not
nervous."
_____"Yes you are. Admit it."
_____I really wanted to slap her now. "Miss Bradford,
obviously you don't know me very well."
_____"Oh, but yes I do. I know all about you--the great Erin
Brown. You come from several generations of lawyers. You graduated from Howard University
Law School first in your class. Several hundred law firms from across the globe hounded
you--and still do--for your skills. Our firm is one of them. You are not married. Have no
children. Live right outside DC in Fairfax, VA. Love espresso--black, and blueberry
doughnuts."
_____SON-OF-A-BITCH. "How in the hell do you know all
that?"
_____"We told you. We do our homework. We have to
know your strengths and weaknesses. That is how we win."
_____My client broke through the door and put a quick end to
my conversation. I stood up and spoke to him and he gave me another family hug and kisses on
my cheeks. While I was hugging Mr. Ruiz, I peered over his shoulder to see her eying me with
that stupid smirk. I swear I was going to knock that smirk off her face--well, as soon as I kicked
her ass in this case. Now this was personal.
_____The day of negotiations went well. I broke Miss
Iyana's ass down, her client's, and that damn law firm's, too. They were going to learn to stay out
of my business. At the end of the day, my client had everything he wanted and then some. We
were not able to get all the money we requested, but we did get the majority of it. The only thing
left to do now was draft, review and sign the contracts. Those would be completed by the end of
the week. Two weeks worth of work completed in two days. I was the bomb and then
some.
_____After the meeting, I called for the hotel cab and there
she was standing next to me. "Well, Miss Brown. I guess I underestimated your skills."
_____"I guess you did." It was my turn to smirk.
_____"Congratulations. I never had such a worthy
opponent."
_____"Obviously not." There was that damn look again.
Well, it was kind of cute. Don't look directly into her eyes. Mmmm...she was fine. No, no,
Erin, no. Beep. The cab. Good.
_____ "Can we share a cab?"
_____Say no. "Well, I guess so."
_____She said, "Great. I can get to know you a little better,"
as she was getting into the car. Look at that ass. I hadn't noticed all that yesterday. I knew I was
in trouble. I could just smack . . .
_____"Are you getting in or what?"
_____Ooops, I guess she saw me staring. I sat in the cab and
gave the driver instructions.
_____"So, what do you like to do in your spare time?"
_____"You should already know that."
_____"Ha, ha...touche. Well, I must say that I did not believe all
the stories about your legal abilities. You definitely lived up to that reputation."
_____"That reputation? What other reputations have you
heard about?"
_____"Well, I heard that you have other skills that I may
want to become familiar with." Iyana lifted her leg to reveal much thigh from under her
corporate mini skirt. Mmmmm-mmmmm. Did I say that out loud? I turned my head and looked
out the window just in time to see our driver almost hit a pedestrian. He jerked the cab and Miss
Bradford practically jumped in my lap. I was oblivious to the driver's constant apologizes. Don't
touch her. Slowly remove your hands from her soft skin. Easier said than done. Well, she wasn't
letting go either.
_____"Ladies, we are here." We didn't realize that we were
at the hotel. I reluctantly eased out of Iyana's embrace and paid the driver obviously too much,
because he offered to drive us around for the rest of the week. We silently walked to our rooms
avoiding each other's eyes--well at least I was.
_____"Can I come in?"
_____"I don't think that would be such a good idea."
_____"Why not?"
_____I was fishing for an answer. "Well, we are opposing
counsel and--"
_____"That's a cop out. The case is closed."
_____Sleeping with this woman would be all that, but it
went against every company policy in the book and my own personal one as well. But, I had
never had an opponent this gorgeous. I was speechless. That was a first. "Uhhh..."
_____"Oh, come on. I tell you what. Why don't we take
showers and I will come over and share some of those leftovers I know you have in your
refrigerator."
_____What was the worst thing that could happen? Dumb
question. "OK"
_____"Great, see you in forty-five minutes."
_____"OK" I felt like a kid. But, I did like aggressive
women. That shit turns me on.
_____I hurried in my room and took a nice hot bath and did
my normal getting-ready-for-a-date ritual. I put on a cotton short set with some sandals--my
relaxing on the beach outfit. I lit some scented candles and put them all over the room. I called
room service and had them bring some extra plates, silverware and glasses. I was tripping. I
knew I couldn't sleep with her. Hey, we were just going to eat some leftovers and call it a night.
Right?
_____ Who was I kidding. Knock. Knock. I could feel my
body getting tighter. I opened the door to the most...the best...the ...you know when you haven't
had a piece of New York style cheese cake in a long time and you don't think you missed it, but
then someone gives you a slice and you eat it like there is no tomorrow? Yeah, that was how she
looked. Like a piece of cheesecake...creamy...delicious...inviting.
_____"How do I look?"
_____ I haven't been this excited since my first time
with a woman. "You look great." She had on another mini skirt with a matching cropped top.
The things I could do to her naval and those thighs.
_____"Are you going to invite me in or what?"
_____"Oh, yeah, come on in." Erin wipe the drool from your
chin.
_____ She walked directly to the bathroom and washed her
hands. "So, what do you have to eat?"
_____Don't ask me that. "It's all in the 'fridge. Help
yourself. All that you need is on the counter by the microwave."
_____"Ooo...champagne! Let's celebrate."
_____"Celebrate what? You lost."
_____"Let's celebrate your win and our getting
to know one another despite being opponents."
_____"Whatever you want to do."
_____"Oh really?" There's that smirk again. "Do you want
me to fix your plate?"
_____"Actually, why don't we make a toast first."
_____"Great, I was thinking the same thing." She pulled out
the champagne and popped the cork. Champagne exploded everywhere--especially on her. "Oh,
damn. I'm sorry. I will clean it up."
_____"Don't worry about it." I walked to grab a towel from
the bathroom and Iyana gently grasped my wrists and pulled me close to her and kissed my lips.
I didn't resist. Soft, like I expected. She whispered in my ear, "We don't need a towel." Iyana
leaned her head back and I commenced to licking her--from her head to her neck to her nipples,
mmmm, nipples, to her naval. Slow and steady. Iyana was gripping my head and pushing it
down further.
_____"Oh no, not yet counselor. Not yet." I turned her
around and slowly led her to the king size bed. My hands had a mind of their own. She was so
soft all over. Her nipples were growing with every stroke.
_____"Touch me, Please."
_____That was my cue to peel off what little clothes she had
on. I laid her perfectly carved body on the bed and continued drying her off with my tongue.
Yes, I did get to work that naval. "Wait right here."
_____"Where are you going?"
_____"Trust me." I went to the kitchen to get a glass of
champagne and the platter of fruit. When I walked back in the room, I saw her eyes light up. I
must live up to my reputation. I made one more stop to the dresser and pulled out my night mask
and tied it around her eyes. There goes that smirk again. Well, if I can't slap it off I will have it
form other expressions before the night is over. I dipped a strawberry in the bubbly liquid and
guided it in a straight line from her stomach, through her cleavage and around her breasts. Her
body bucked up to me. She let out along moan. I circled the large red berry around her lips and
let her sample it. I grabbed a sliced mango and dipped it in the champagne. I let a drop fall on
her lips. She licked it. Great tongue control. I softly parted her legs and massaged her inner
thigh with the mango. She lightly bit her bottom lip.
_____ I put the mango slice halfway in my mouth and
straddled Iyana. I leaned forward and guided the other end in her slightly open mouth. We ate it
and gently kissed. "Mmmm.....mango delight."
_____"Oh, I'm just getting started, counselor." After another
seductive kiss, I retrieved the glass of champagne. I poured some on both of her waiting mounds
and let some stream down to her naval. I lightly circled her nipples with my wet tongue. She
sucked in a long gasp of air through her teeth. I followed the champagne line and sucked the
juice out of her naval.
_____"Oooo...Go....Down."
_____Here hands were directing my head down. I poured
the last of the champagne on her inner thighs and massaged them with my tongue. Iyana was
grasping my hair. She was ready. I licked the creases between her thigh and "secret place" and
worked my way to her lips. "Can I taste you Miss Bradford?"
_____"Yesss...pleassse." She was wet all over and her clit
was throbbing and waiting for me. I circled her pearl and worked my way up and down her
"special spot". I worked my tongue in and out of her opening and went back to her clit. I then
circled it again and began slowly flicking her pearl. "Erin..."
_____I slowly sped up the process until I could feel her
thighs gripping my head. I surrounded her clit with my mouth and worked her pearl until her
body exploded with ecstasy. I continued until she was completely done. I gave her glowing skin
gentle kisses up her body until my body was directly on top of hers. "Does my reputation
proceed me?"
_____"Hell yeah!" She softly turned me over and said, "My
turn." She returned the favor and then some.

_____My clients documents were drafted and signed by the end of the week. I never got to tour Aruba, finish those novels or see any films at the festival. Iyana and I spent the remainder of the week pleasing each other in many ways and eating leftovers--not necessarily at separate times! On Saturday, we left the island and made empty promises to keep in touch. I talked to her on the phone a few times and exchanged several e-mails, but I never saw Iyana again. Well, maybe it was for the best.THE END
