You broke my heart and made it bleed,
Right now it seems nothing can mend it…
Not even catchin contact from weed.
I was literally your ride or die,
Yet you pushed me further and further away.
In the words of my nigga Jigga….What more can I say?
While I may seem cool when I get lonely and call,
Inside I’m struggling to make it through everyday.
You say you’ve realized your mistake,
And wanna help me re-write our fairytale.
But please understand that I need some time…’cause it still hurts worse than hell!
Time to think back on what I could’ve possibly done wrong,
When my only intention was to love and keep you safe from Lupus and its harm.
Our pact was…
No matter how hard it hit,
I’d stand in the way as your shield.
All its symptoms I’d yield,
Giving you endless comfort to heal.
And the day it hit hardest…
When I could no longer be your shield,
I’d be the arms in which you’d lay to rest…
With those gorgeous locs laying against my chest.
But you chose to unwrap my arms from around you and take off your shield,
So now it’s my turn to heal…’cause don’t forget.
You broke my heart and made it bleed!
