_____by Tameca L. Waid
You love me within the confines of
these four walls which you call
home
I love you in the warm space
between your thighs,
which you have implored me
me to call home
Do you ever envision us taking
this love out before the ever-probing
eyes of passersby?
You touch me in bed, laying
warm against the span of my body
lips to neck, breasts...
But in the streets
you leave my hand unclaimed,
my lips desolate and yearning
I vow my love to you anywhere and
in any manner you invite me to
And for you to only love me
within the confines of these
four walls....
fills my heart with anguish
