Seems like years ago when you left.
But only one has passed.
Now I have someone new,
You say you want to work it out.
You say you want to make it last.
When I needed you,
You were never around.
When I needed you,
You were no where to be found.
When I needed you,
I had to cry the nights away,
When I needed you I had to beg you to stay.
Love has again shined on me.
It has released my pain,
And set my soul free.
Now you say you love me,
And you never want to leave my side.
I still think about all the nights
You made me cry.

You gave your all to her,
and left me alone.
For weeks at a time you stayed
Away from home.
I know now that it wasn’t me.
You were a dog
And I was too blind to see .
I treated you like a good wife should.
I loved you and did anything for you I could.
Finally I learned to wipe my tears away.
Love has shined and blessed me with a new day.
She’s loving and kind.
Thoughtful and true.
She provides me with all the love I couldn’t find in you.
When ever I need her,
She’s already at my side.
She comforts and protects me,
And one day I’ll be her bride.
You say you’re still in love with me.
Only because the one you love left you.
You say you want to be with me,
But it’s too late.
I don’t want you.
You say I never loved you,
But that’s not true.
Now just when you want me,
I no longer need you.
