You see with every pitter patter and boom boom you can feel my heart beat
I was feeling a little misunderstood, or was I just misunderstanding were I stood?
Everywhere around me I was told it was wrong,
preacher said it told me where he read it, it was in the bible so on and so on.
I told my mother, she didn't like it.
My sister, she didn't buy it.
my brother? well he just thought it was cool.
So I went to my granny for guidance because she's the oldest and wisest.
Dykein it baby girl dykein it? She didn't like it.
So now what am I to do caught up in a feeling I can't control.
Like the rapture I feel i'm losing my soul.
But in this hail of bullets I cannot miss.
I feel this girl's my bulletproof vest.
With her I feel safe, any place is the softest place.
The most wonderful place on earth.
I love how I get lost in her from her smile to those big brown eyes.
I could bath in her teardrops and drown in her thoughts. Nothing she says deceives me.
Oh believe me this girl bad.
I'd give up everything I had.
I'd defy all laws and sense of humanity just so I could have the chance to be a tear and run down her face.
I'd run up to god and willingly take her place and wait for her by those pearly gates.
In knowing this I no longer feel misunderstood you see
because with her I understand were we stood.
