I found the hardest thing in life is to know the one you loved now loves
someone else,
but should I smile today because you're my friend or cry because that's all
we'll ever be again.

I'll tell you a little secret:
When I saw you I was afraid to meet you,
When I met you I was afraid to like you,
When I liked you I was afraid to kiss you,
When I kissed you I was afraid to love you,
When I loved you I was araid to loose you,
And now that I've lost you, I'm afraid I'm not ready to start over again.

There aresome days that I wish I could take back from the times we had
because they put a feeling in
my heart that time may never heal. I sit here missing you because sometimes
I don't think it ever ended;
it's just not quite through. But in time I hope that I can find someone that
shows me as much love as you
did once. Thank you for being my best friend and my first. There's always a
place I set in my heart for
you and a part that you'll never understand because you were my first in
everything I had and in some
ways that's the only reason it went bad.
