I met two people this past week

Let me describe the first to you
She was everything that no one would want.
Deceitful
Conieving
Petty
Jealous
Angry
Yet beautiful, sassy and has flair.
She was the perfect opposite of everything that one would want.

The other woman
Caring
Honest
Accepting
Loving
Shy
Outgoing
Nervous
Yet she had this thing about her

I hung out with both of them until I couldn't stand it no more.
I drank and drank to forget them both.
They argued and fought with each other constantly
Neither wanted to give any kind of leeway to the other
They both demanded to be in charge
Neither would let me get a word in elsewise.
They continued on with their stunts until I finally yelled out in anger
SHUT UP!!! I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!!

They both closed their mouths and turned to me
I look them both in the eyes and calmly said
"You both need to take a look at your reflection
Do you like what you see?
Can you be with who you see?
What is it about the person in the mirror that you can't stand?"

They both responded the same thing
"No, I don't like what I see,
No I couldn't be with who I see
I can't stand that the person I see is me, and is not complete."

I explained to them to look a little bit closer
They leaned in as close as they could,
Until
They became one
And in becoming one
They
Became
Me
