An Interview with Lil AJ
Author of "Blood Ties," "Sin'cerely Horny," "Stud Frontin'," "Distant Lover," and more.
How did you choose your pen name (and/or what does your pen name mean)?
My pen name "Lil AJ" is a shortened version of my name…Angel Jordan…The "Lil" part I put in front because I'm kind of small and because I tend to end up being everybody's baby even if I happen to be older…
Why (and how) did you begin writing erotic fiction/poetry?
I began writing erotic fiction after reading KUMA…before that I just used to write stories and poems of a non-erotic nature…
How long have you been writing?
I've been writing sin'ce I've been about eleven…
How do you get ideas for your stories?
Honestly, I've only had a preconceived idea for a story on one or two occasions…Usually the idea for a story will just hit me when I'm not thinking about it…in my sleep, on the train, etc…
How long does it typically take to write a story?
It varies depending on my other activities…Sometimes I can do it in a few hours and other times it'll take days or weeks…The longest one is going on about 3 years but that's more of a novel…
How do your stories reflect (or compare to) your real life experiences?
None of my stories directly coincide with my real life experiences…I try not to write stories that reflect my life because they're too hard for me to do…But certain characters of mine have parts of my personality…
What stories (or creative projects) are you working on right now?
Right now I'm working on a few at once which is why its taking so long…I'm in the middle of Part II to Distant Lover and Can You Stand The Rain, a new story, and a few poems…Plus I pick up my novel every now and then…
Have you published stories anywhere else? If yes, where?
I don't have any stories anywhere else but I have a poem on poetry.com…
When can we look forward to reading something else by you on Kuma?
I'm trying to get one of those stories finished in time to drop on the November edition, but if not then I have a poem scheduled for December and one of the stories will definitely be finished by then…
If you had to choose, which one of your own stories or poems published with Kuma would you say is your favorite?
My favorite would have to be Can You Stand The Rain…
Which stories and/or poetry on Kuma do you like that were NOT
written by you?
This is an interesting question *smile*…My favorite is "Complications I & II" by Sin'Cere…I don't have a favorite poem because there's too many to choose from but I can give you my favorite writers…Sin'Cere and Najaah Childs….
Please tell us one thing you do for fun.
Hmmm I only get to choose one huh? *AJ thinks…"Keep it clean"* I would have to choose writing sin'ce I do that more than anything else…
Read Blood Ties, Sin'cerely Horny, Stud Frontin', or Distant Lover.
