Karen Joy Winckler

An Aquarian/Dragon, Karen Joy Winckler was born in Newark, NJ, and raised in East and later West Orange, NJ. As the youngest of 5, she was fascinated with capturing the beauty of her siblings and 5 nieces and nephews with whom she was raised. Her photographs are a celebration of life -- in all it's forms. She's heavily influenced by Roy DeCarava, Henri Cartier Bresson and Margaret Bourke White. As for education, she took a darkroom course at Princeton University, where she attended for three years, and taught herself everything since then.
